Whole Community Inclusion Presents:

Mental Health Matters: High Holiday Workshop For Clergy and Synagogue Leaders
Wednesday, August 1
Time: 7pm
Location: Jewish Learning Venture, 261 Old York Road, Suite 720, Jenkintown, PA 19046

Now more than ever, congregations are seeking ways to talk about mental health awareness and how to support community members who are struggling with mental health issues.

We are delighted to bring you a workshop with nationally-known inclusion expert Dr. Mark Salzer.

Dr. Salzer, Director, Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities, will present on the importance of community inclusion for individuals with serious mental illnesses, especially in religious communities, as well as the barriers that prevent full inclusion.

He will then discuss strategies that can be used by religious communities to support inclusion during your High Holiday services and the creation of welcoming environments through the year.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer at gkaplan-mayer@jewishlearningventure.org
