Description:

Start the new year strong! Join us for a two-part experiential training that explores new pedagogies in virtual education while modeling community-building through a Jewish education lens. The sessions are designed to expand educators’ leadership capacity online and in the classroom, and offer fresh inspiration to deepen their connection to the students and to one another.

The shift to online engagement has lowered the barrier to entry while leaving people thirsty for authentic connection. Now more than ever is a time for inspiration an intervention, by creatively offering staff the resources, ideas, and capacity to experiment. These sessions are valuable not only for learning skills and content, but also in providing staff with a fun, positive virtual experience to re-energize them for their role as educators and Jewish role models.

SESSION 1: INTERACT (Thursday,9/24 7pm)
An experiential (and fun!) workshop that models creative techniques for virtual engagement, facilitation, and community-building.

SESSION 2: DESIGN  (Thursday, 10/1 7pm)
A deeper dive into the best practices around virtual experience design We’ll focus on how to structure a script/program, the principles of designing an arc of touchpoints, the importance of on/off ramp programming, and ways to engineer “z-aha” moments that transcend beyond the screen.
