Andree Aelion Brooks will present a lecture about the life of Dona Gracia Nasi on Sunday June 12, 2011. Ms. Brooks is the author of “The Woman Who Defied Kings, the Life and Times of Dona Gracia Nasi” Dona Gracia was a Portuguese Jew whose family was forcibly converted to Christianity. She later used her vast wealth the help Conversos escape the Inquisition. Program is limited to 225 guests.
