Description: We will discuss the mental health crisis among our youth and provide families with tools to help deal with what their children are experiencing. Our Student Choir will be performing and our speakers will intentionally model age-appropriate discussion of mental health concerns without shame or judgment. This will be an open, important conversation.
Children are welcome at this service. The dialogue will be age appropriate and our Student Choir will be performing.
Speakers: Carly Coons, LSW, Director of Education and Programming at the Blue Dove Foundation, which works to normalize conversation about mental health by leaning into Judaism – its teachings, prayers, values, and community – as a tool to help us better understand and talk about mental health.
Aimee Kramer, MA, LPC, CEAP, SAP, SAE, an outpatient psychotherapist who specializes in trauma treatment and substance use disorders and the mother of a child with mental health disorders. Aimee has significant personal and professional experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
