Description: There is a chasm between the increasing number of marginalized Jews — LGBTQ+ Jews and Jews of Color — and their presence in our congregations, schools, and Jewish organizations. Often, when marginalized Jews do show up in our spaces, they feel like outsiders. But as Jewish leaders, we are responsible for creating authentic belonging for all — those who are already in our communities and those we haven’t yet welcomed.

Join Jewish Learning Venture’s Robin Matthews, Director of jkidPRIDE, and Julia Weekes, Director of jkid4ALL, for professional learning founded in their family engagement work with LGBTQ+ families and Jewish Families of Color. Robin and Julia will share their successes, challenges, and ongoing questions about the work. They will guide you in whole group exploration and small group brainstorming that will enable you to take steps towards authentic belonging.

This session is for clergy, education directors, and synagogue professionals. Click here for the session for teachers.
