Who is walking through the physical and virtual doors of your synagogue and what is the role of the staff in offering ‘customer service’? The front office and administrative staff in our congregations are very often the people who set the tone for the congregation. They may love being the first contact for a new inquiry and at the same time feel frustrated when trying to manage all of the work that comes from multiple synagogue professionals and volunteer leaders. Join Dr. Amy Alfred to explore the joys and oys of synagogue front line staff. Together we will develop strategies to navigate difficult situations and to feel more productive and empowered at work.

Dr. Amy Alfred is a synagogue consultant and licensed psychologist in the Philadelphia area. She has worked locally and nationally with synagogue lay and professional leaders around conflict resolution, leadership development, the importance of self-care, and good boundary-setting for optimal functioning.
