Adapting Hebrew Reading and Writing for Your Students
Description: Participants will learn how to tailor strategies for Hebrew reading and writing to an individual child’s learning style (visual, auditory, tactile/kinesthetic) and learn how to carry over time-tested strategies used in secular environments such as color coding and visual windows to improve reading proficiency.
Occupational therapist Jaime Bassman will demonstrate Hebrew writing strategies using the Handwriting Without Tears system. Educator Suzanne Gold will share multi-sensory techniques that she uses with students in her capacity as inclusion coordinator at Ohev Shalom in Bucks County.
