The energy is palpable! jteenphilly, a new initiative for Jewish teens, their parents and the professionals who work with them, is under way! 28 organizations were represented in our first jteenphilly Consortium meeting yesterday (pictured below). Professionals from Jewish camps, youth groups, high schools, congregations, and initiatives that engage teens gathered together to share successes and challenges as we build a new jteen community.

jteenphilly, a program of Jewish Learning Venture in partnership with JCHS Gratz, will provide resources through:

  • jteenphilly’s online presence – including an online community calendar, directory and resources
  • jteenphilly Consortium – meeting regularly to network, collaborate and learn together
  • T3: Teaching Teens Today – a professional development series

While this work is just beginning, the excitement is contagious! If you want more information, feel free to contact me.
