NomiEve-4webWhile our One Book, One Jewish Community (OBOJC) program year kicked off in November 2014, the conversations about Henna House (our featured selection this year), Yemenite Jews, and Henna artists, continue. Our author, Nomi Eve, set a goal of speaking with 100 book clubs this year and she is well on her way – just around 80! Join us in celebrating her book:

  • If you haven’t yet, read her book!
  • Visit our resource guide (which has been updated even in the past week!) for ideas, Henna artists, music and more to develop your own program.
  • Attend one of the many programs our partner institutions are hosting (visit our calendar to find one near you).
  • Join jkidphilly for one of its Mom’s Nights Out featuring Nomi and a Henna artist (visit jkidphilly for more information).

With OBOJC, Jewish Learning Venture strives to create conversations around themes and topics that help us understand our Jewish community in a deeper, more meaningful way. We know that Henna House will give you an appreciation for a time in history, and a people and culture who are so rooted in traditions that both mirror and differ from those that many of us have known. Enjoy the journey!
