Description: Society Hill Synagogue’s Inclusion Committee has a Disability Inclusion Subcommittee which has planned a special program titled “Universal Design in the Society Hill Synagogue Universe.” This JDAIM event will follow Shabbat morning services and Torah discussion and will feature a lunch ‘n’ learn discussion about Universal Design, a strategy to make environments and programs accessible to all. Join us on February 10 to learn and discuss what Society Hill Synagogue has done – or has yet to do – to make sure our spaces and programs are accessible, usable, and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background. As you spend time at the synagogue, please take note of ways in which barriers to participation are addressed, and think about what still could be done.
