As an educator in the Jewish community, I believe that the TAP program was very beneficial to me. It provided insight on a lot of things I was confused about, as well as gave me better ways to help my students and become a better educator. My experience in the TAP program consisted of many virtual zoom meetings, each focused on a different topic. The one that spoke most to me, and ended up helping me in a professional environment was the “All Behavior is Communication” lesson. This lesson taught me that kids often have trouble expressing their feelings, and as an educator you need to have the skillset to help them. I am pleased to say that TAP very effectively provided me with that skill set. After joining TAP, I noticed more things in my workspace that I hadn’t noticed before. I was able to help kids who were having trouble by providing them with alternative methods of learning. (something we learned in the program) Overall, TAP was an incredibly transformative experience for me, and is something I would recommend to any educator who seeks to enhance their skill set.
